Up, up and away - here we go again for the fall CEC camp at Goodyear Camp in the colourful Hockley Valley.

We promise this camp will be fun and even more fun. Costumes (which will be judged for the best one) are to be alien or unearthly to go with the events which will be very uplifting.

The events have all been reworked to match the theme of space and beyond with scout skills being taught and practiced i.e. GPS caching, compass course on the up and up, pioneering with catapult battles, fires with popcorn, etc.

We are also running cross country races per age group and lots of other events for fun; up your Frisbee golf, highest airplane flight, hot air balloons chair ride, pull a space ship uphill, climb up a hill and slide up a hill.

Other events include archery, wall climb and a surprise event you will watch and then just have to try. Practice your scouting skills before camp and go for the Best in Camp awards or just come out and have a weird and out of this world experience.

There will be awards for scout skill activities and lots of fun just for trying. Bring your Avatar or Klingon costume or even wear your uniform.

This year we have added a cooking contest to be prepared and cooked by scouts only on site and served to the judges. This will be an award event and will count towards best troop in camp award. There will be more information later but the main course will be silver and will be very hot (just like a spacecraft) and dessert will be an upside down space craft.
